1. SCANDOLA NATURAL RESERVE
Listed as Unesco World Heritage since 1975, Scandola is a marine and terrestrial reserve, located on the west coast of Corsica. Great landscape and exceptional biodiversity make this site a must in South Corsica.
To see : The Girolata gulf and its village. Located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, Girolata is an isolated village accessible by the sea or via a pedestrian path, with a small wild beach and a gulf with translucent waters.
Visit Scandola and Girolata in the spring or autumn, apart from the tourist influx.
Discover Girolata on foot via the “Factor Trail”, a magnificent mid-level walk in the heart of nature.
2. PIANA CREEKS
On the west coast of Corsica, the Calanques de Piana are also listed as World Heritage by UNESCO. Sumptuous parade of red granite cliffs plunging into the sea, the creeks offer a landscape out of time. To discover by the sea, walk via an easy path through the rocks or by car. Nature had fun digging a little heart in the cliffs. When the sun plays with him at the end of the day, the show is undoubtedly to immortalize.

3. AJACCIO GULF
The Imperial City offers a pleasant downtown and an enchanting seaside. On the northern tip of the Gulf (La Parata), sits a Genoese tower offering a fascinating view of the Sanguinaires Islands archipelago. It is amazing to discover this archipelago kayaking early in the morning or late afternoon. From the Parata tower to the Capo di Muro tower in the south of the Ajaccio gulf, beaches are more beautiful than the others.
By boat: stop on the beautiful beach of Cala d’Orzu, a small corner of paradise difficult to reach by car.

4. CAMPOMORO TOWER
The Valinco Gulf is home to several small seaside resorts from Porto-Pollo to Campomoro, through Propriano. The Genoese tower of Campomoro is a must in the region. From its 15 meters, it offers an exceptional view of the entire gulf. From the village, a small path leads you to the tower; it is then possible to extend the walk to Senetosa along the seaside.
To see: The region is known for its wild beaches. Here, Nature reigns supreme. Take the opportunity to discover the beaches of Cala d’Aguglia, Conca or the coves of the Arena Bianca, Calanca and the beach of Scodi Neri

5. SARTENE OLD TOWN
Small village of 3500 inhabitants, Sartène holds many curiosities. From the village square, where it is good to have a coffee in the shade of trees, a vaulted passage takes you to another world. The old town of Sartène, formerly separated from the rest of the city by a drawbridge, consists of a labyrinth of cobbled alleyways, stairways and stone houses with flowered balconies.
To see : The prehistoric site of Cauria is located a few kilometers from Sartène, on the road to Tizzano. In the heart of natural and agricultural landscapes, you will discover menhirs and other dolmens witnesses of human occupation in Corsica since the Neolithic.

6. ROCCAPINA LION
From the road, the sight is striking. A turquoise water bay with white sand, shrouded in maquis and dominated by a rock, looking like a lion. On his head, the ruins of a tower take on the appearance of a crown. From the beach, a path leads to a second tower, overlooking Roccapina on one side and Murtoli on the other. Dazzling.
In summer, if the crowds are too important on the beach, continue your way to Pianotolli (10 minutes), a small village with beautiful natural beaches, less stormed.
7. BONIFACIO & LAVEZZI ISLANDS
Who said that Corsica was not a land of contrasts? After the red granite of Piana, let’s discover the Bonifacio white limestone cliffs. Perched on its cliffs, Bonifacio faces Sardinia. With its splendid caves and the islands Lavezzi further, the place is classified Protected Natural Reserve since 1999.
To see : Discover the area from the sea, by boat, kayak or jet ski. You can visit the caves and go around the “sand grain” (limestone rock detached from the cliffs). Avoid the Lavezzi Islands in high season because of tourist affluence.
Stop for lunch or overnight in Cavallo, car-free island, accessible only by boat.

8. PORTO-VECCHIO & BONIFACIO BEACHES
Here, beaches are famous : Saint Cyprien, Pinarello, Santa Giulia, Palombaggia, Rondinara… Only blue sky, turquoise sea, white sand and maquis.. You can sit comfortably on a deckchair, or have lunch in the sand.
To see: In the Porto-Vecchio hinterland, lies the massif of Ospedale and its lake. To discover for a nature break: quad, bike, walk under the pines …

9. ALTA ROCCA VILLAGES

10. “AIGUILLES DE BAVELLA”
The “aiguilles of Bavella”, in the Alta Rocca region, consist of 7 mountainous peaks in succession, at more than 1800 meters of altitude. This mountainous region fascinates nature lovers. It is possible to make many walks of different levels, including a variant of the GR20. From the eponymous pass, you can even see the east coast of Corsica.
